Thanks for answering all our questions and giving us good info without sugar coating everything. I, for one, appreciate the honest, right to the point way you offer everything.

Have a blessed and joyful Christmas celebration!

Wow. Great info on the book signing. I've heard book signings are not so helpful, but with these suggestions, I can see how they could possibly be helpful in some instances.

Yeah, and I'm with Pam, I like how you don't sugar coat things, Chip. In a confusing world of writing, publishing, marketing, etc...don't need things sugar coated...that inevitably leads to misdirection in my opinion.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Gina Holmes

Good info. Chip. Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the suggestions. I did one book signing when my short story, "The Water Fight Professional" came out in an anthology. I gave out waterballoons to kids (unfilled, of course) and my books sold out an hour before I was scheduled to leave. From what I've heard, that was a really good experience. I think it was R.L. Stein who wore bunny ears and a suit at his first book signing and didn't sell a single book. Have a great Christmas, Chip.

Here is how you get attention at your booksigning. You could jump through a flaming hoop naked and end up on the local news. Maybe even the drudgereport.com.

You could send Chip a picture of your family reunion.

Just kidding! LOL.

great tips. I have a couple of signings scheduled for the next few weeks and these are very helpful ideas!!

As always, thanks for the advice, Chip!
