I got Bob Jr's e-mail yesterday (my first 3 books were with Harvest House). I never met Bob Sr., but I know how loved he was by so many of my friends at HH. And I loved reading my mom's green padded Living Bible as a kid.

I received Bob Jr.'s email yesterday and was saddened to learn of his father's passing.
Bob Hawkins was a great man and his passing is a tremendous loss.
I've had the opportunity to get to know Bob and have always found him to be a delightful person. I will always remember his positive "can-do" spirit and the focus he demonstrated in serving God. His legacy lives on as does he. He will be missed.

My first bible as a new Christian was one of those green padded Living Bibles! And my first publication was in the Christian Reader many years ago. He was an inspiring man of great accomplishment.

I get chills when I think of the words he heard yesterday. :)
Prayers for the family in their time of loss.

I'm looking forward to meeting Mr. Hawkins when Christ returns and death is no more. I'm praying for God's strength and comfort to uphold his family as they celebrate his life.

I pray for the comfort and peace only the Holy Spirit can offer to be on his family and friends.
